Professional and Academic Examples
I've written hundreds of pieces throughout my academic and professional career. With every blog post, feature, recap, marketing email, or press release, I've enhanced my skills as a writer. My education and experiences have taught me the values of understanding an audience, delivering key messages in clear and concise wording, and developing a trusted reputation. As I continue to improve through the coursework at Boston University, I hope to one day master content marketing as I broaden my scope as a writer.

Here is a collection of work demonstrating my writing experience and abilities:
A Study of Ancient Mythology's Influence on Modern Epic High Fantasy
May 2019
My greatest work so far is a combination of history and fantasy. This 40-page paper was written as a thesis for the Department of History at Roger Williams University, receiving a 90 grade with the potential to be published by the university. This example is my most professional, and demonstrates the peak of my writing ability in undergraduate school.
Anne Hutchinson and the Founding of Portsmouth
May 2018
This academic piece was written during my junior year, and it was one of my first work's in which I traveled into the field to do research. I was lucky enough to be living in Portsmouth, RI, at the time where I could gather primary knowledge about the events I was writing about. I frequented libraries and historic locations to improve my piece, which argues that Portsmouth was the only colony of the original thirteen in America to be founded by a woman.
Kurdish Nationalism: Dreaming of a Nation
December 15th, 2017
One of my first "must be over fifteen pages" papers written in college dealt with a subject I was unfamiliar with. A survey of the Modern Middle East will open your eyes to the complexity of the region. And writing about the various cultures within is no less complex. Yet in this piece, I try to grasp a controversial situation to the best of my abilities while adding my own input.
The NFL in the 1970s
May 2019
This piece is a short, yet simple insight into the view of the NFL throughout the 1970s and beyond. The idea was influenced by our class discussions about the decade, and turned into a side project on a topic I enjoyed very much. And hopefully that passion is recognized by the reader.
The Destruction of Cultural Heritage by the Islamic State
November, 2016
This article is a serious reflection of the destruction of cultural heritage in the Middle East by the Islamic State and how these effects are felt in the Western World as well. Countless historical monuments and artifacts were destroyed. The situation was dear to my heart as an avid lover of classical history and remains so today.
The Ants Go Marching: A Marxist Analysis of "A Bug's Life"
May, 2017
For my Rhetoric of Film class, I practiced my expository writing with a piece examining certain themes of Marxism seen in the animated film, "A Bug's Life." Written during the end of my sophomore year, it is not my best work, but does incorporate the bright spots of my early progression as a writer.
Lo Strano Scoiattolo: An Italian Poem
Mach 2019
Here is an imaginative short story I wrote in the Italian vernacular. It was my first major work trying my hand at advanced level Italian and it revolves around a strange squirrel and his adventure.
